Introduction
The Doctoral Program in Archeology encompasses a profoundly interdisciplinary approach in order to obtain diversified readings, understanding archaeological phenomena from prehistory to the industrial period and aims to train researchers and graduates capable of: Inventorying, analyzing, understanding and Synthesize ideas and knowledge in the specific field of Archeology or in related fields; To demonstrate the capacity for an extended knowledge in the field of Archeology, through the use of theoretical concepts, methods and techniques of analysis, survey of scientific problems in this field; Develop critical thinking and reflection; To design new ideas and research works according to the highest standards of scientific and academic quality; To conceive an original investigation through a critical analysis of the problems of Archeology, contributing, in this way, to the extension of the knowledge in this scientific area; Developing the ability to communicate (orally and in writing) with peers, the rest of the academic community, and society in general, on the issues of this disciplinary domain.
