Introduction
The overall objective of the program is to provide students with general skills and scientific education in biology, with integrated training based on scientific research, and thus contribute towards their integration in the existing job market.
A comprehensive program is presented, integrating different areas of biology, namely Biodiversity and Conservation, Functional Biology and Ecophysiology, Global Change Biology, Marine and Aquatic Biology, Molecular Biology and Plant Protection
The specific objectives are:
- to further deepen the students' knowledge in biology through contact with diverse scientific areas and professional contexts, which will be beneficial both for the research thesis as well as future career;
- to provide flexible training, through elective classes at the University of Evora or other national or European institutions of higher education, upon approval of the Course Committee;
- to promote international thesis projects with results published as scientific articles in international journals (ISI);
- to promote acquisition of general and specific skills.
