Introduction
This Masters program is geared for professionals and researchers in different areas (Biology, Health, Environment, Economics, Engineering, Business, Social Sciences, Exact Sciences) who wish to acquire/deepen their knowledge of statistical methodologies and their applications. Its main objectives are to:
- provide a solid training in stats with a strong applied approach, necessary to a professional activity, eventual integration in multidisciplinary teams or further education;
- allow professionals, researchers and other interested students from different areas to deepen their stats knowledge for use in their scientific and professional life;
- provide statistical methods and techniques for real problems resolution; promote research activities in different areas of Probability and Statistics;
- promote employment, innovation and the statistical formation in Portugal;
- provide a solid training for further studies in Statistics or another area that needs strong background in statistics.
