Introduction
The MA in Literature aims to offer a full complement of scientific training to licensees in Languages, Literatures and Cultures as well as those interested in literature from other fields of study. Concerning the structure, each of the two specializations that subdivides the Masters, though complementary, develop specific skills, providing a broadening of horizons in certain specialization of literature and focusing on the interdisciplinary field of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The specialization of Studies in Comparative Literature is the practice of Comparativism and it is not limited to a specific chronological period. It is understood, therefore, that the central element is the relationship concept - around which the other elements, methods and fields are organized. Attention is also given in emphasizing this concept and the consequences implied by all the activity in comparative literature which, in the opinion of competent experts, consists in studying any subject that can be considered literary, placing it in relationship to other objects of a culture.
In the specialization of Contemporary Literary Creations, along with an epochal dimension, focusing on contemporaneity, is organized around the concept of creation which, by its multifaceted nature, power and fruitful interdisciplinary dialogue articulates several areas of knowledge usually and traditionally distant. The concept of creation will then be the unifying center, which brings literature together with other arts and sciences.
