Introduction
The Master of Music Teaching of the University of Évora aims at providing the skills and superior knowledge in the area of Music Education in order to permit, either the access to the labor market in the education field (specialist music training), or the access to higher education programs related to the 3rd cycle. In addition, it aims to generate social functioning skills of insight, learning and autonomous work, individually and collectively, and the development of personal and interpersonal skills that enable the exercise of a highly specialized career. The Master of Music Teaching degree provides a specialization dedicated to specialist music teaching, according to the pertaining legislation (legislative decree 220/2009 and 79/2014). It is offered in. the the following specialization areas: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Piano, Classical Guitar, Voice, Acordeon, Portuguese Guitar, Drums (inactive in 2018-19), Composition.
