Introduction

The 2nd cycle in Informatics Engineering completes the knowledge obtained in a 1st cycle in Computer Engineering by offering advanced training in various areas of Informatics, stimulating adaptation to new technologies by developing the ability to design innovative products using current techniques and fostering the acquisition of skills such as Critical sense, creativity and teamwork. The graduates have a compulsory education that includes disciplines of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems and Distributed Systems and Multimedia and Management; Which is complemented with electives from the area of ​​computer science. The Dissertation is individual and obligatory and can be done with a research or development work in the university or in companies where the knowledge and skills already acquired are applied consolidating them and acquiring new ones. Our graduates work in the following areas of computing: consulting and auditing, management and development of information systems, management and application development and research and development. They find placement in public services, software development companies, banks, insurance companies, auditors, telecommunications companies, etc.
